Yangwang U7 Production Begins
The Yangwang U7 has a starting price of 628,000 yuan ($87,170). Sales began on March 27. If that seems expensive for a BYD, it is. Yangwang is BYD’s premium brand.

The car speeds up to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds. The top speed reaches 270 km/h. Thanks to a 135.5 kWh battery, the Yangwang U7 EV has a range of up to 720 km under CLTC conditions,” they report.
“It seems that the first mass-produced Yangwang U7 batch is finished in white body color. They also adopt 21-inch multi-spoke rims and conventional side-view mirrors. All the cars are equipped with a LiDAR sensor on the roof. The interior is finished in a white shade.”
It will be very interesting to see how well the Yangwang U7 sells. It has been one of the most highly anticipated vehicles on the super hot and super large Chinese EV market — maybe the most anticipated — but it’s also clearly not cheap. Let’s see….
