Lithium explorer and developer Wildcat Resources has found further high-grade lithium results from multiple pegmatites at its Tabba Tabba lithium project in Western Australia.
Exploration at the site has defined a 3.2km long pegmatite field hosting at least six significant pegmatite bodies at the Leia, Luke, Chewy, Tabba Tabba, Han and The Hutt deposits.
Recent drilling at Tabba Tabba has focused on extending the Luke pegmatite to the south, delineating extensions to high-grade zones in Leia and identifying additional near-surface mineralisation in adjacent pegmatites.
The Leia deposit has emerged as a particular winner for Wildcat, with outcrops from surface including:
- 84.0m at 1.4 per cent lithium from 236.0m
- 89.8m at 1.2 per cent lithium from 260.0m
“Results from drilling continue to demonstrate thick, high grades at the Leia pegmatite and have extended the Luke pegmatite in the south,” Wildcat Resources said.
“Drilling on the surrounding pegmatites continues to identify shallow zones of mineralisation in the Chewy and The Hutt pegmatites.”
New drill intercepts from Luke include:
- 61.0m at 1.1 per cent lithium from 227.0m
- 50.0m at 1.1 per cent lithium from 178.0m
- 36.2m at 1.6 per cent lithium from 200.8m
- 20.9m at 1.1 per cent lithium from 268.1m
Wildcat’s next steps at the site include finalising modelling of the Tabba Tabba pegmatite system and progressing approvals and evaluation studies for Tabba Tabba.
