London, September 02, 2024, (Oilandgaspress) –– Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) advised Conrad Asia Energy (“Conrad”) on a Gas Sales Agreement (“GSA”) for the sale and purchase of the export portion of natural gas from the Mako gas field (“Mako”) with Sembcorp Gas Pte Ltd (“Sembcorp”).
This GSA marks a pivotal advancement in the commercialisation of Mako, the largest undeveloped gas field in the West Natuna Sea, Indonesia.
Singapore headquartered Conrad is an exploration and development company focussed on identifying and developing undervalued and overlooked natural gas assets in shallow waters offshore Indonesia. It owns a majority 76.5% stake in Mako.
A wholly owned subsidiary of Sembcorp Industries Ltd, Sembcorp is a leading energy and urban solutions provider also based in Singapore.
The cross-border WFW Projects team that advised Conrad was led by Singapore Partner Merrick White, supported by Hong Kong Counsel Michelle Vickers and Singapore Associate Felicia Hutapea.
