When we go vehicle shopping, I’m sure one of the things at the top of all of our lists is how well armored the vehicle is.
Well, no, of course not. However, certain people do have to make sure they’re driving around in armored vehicles. And certain vehicle producers have to build and supply those vehicles. Better electric than not, amiright?
Raymond already wrote a bit about VinFast armored vehicles being used in a Vietnam’s 80th National Day parade last week. Though, now, VinFast has put out a press release on these new electric armored vehicles. “We have successfully finished a Research and Development (R&D) collaboration with VinFast, Vietnam’s pioneering electric automaker, to develop the Lạc Hồng 900 LX, a fully electric armored SUV,” a representative of one of the companies involved, INKAS, emailed us.
“After completing rigorous testing, including withstanding over 400 live rounds, grenades, and blast simulations, the Lạc Hồng 900 LX sets a new standard at the intersection of sustainability, luxury, and security. This collaboration signals a major milestone for both companies and positions VinFast to compete directly with globally established armored luxury vehicles.”
Naturally, VinFast did the electric vehicle building, while INKAS worked on the armoring. That included: “rigorous third-party ballistic and blast testing to ensure maximum occupant safety:
- VPAM VR7-certified, providing high-level ballistic protection against rifle fire and armor-piercing threats.
- Successfully withstood over 400 laser-guided rounds during live ballistic testing.
- Certified to withstand the simultaneous detonation of two DM51 hand grenades beneath critical areas of the floor, a rare and exceptional achievement in EV engineering, especially given the protection of the high-voltage battery system.”
So, yes, if you’re in need of an armored vehicle, look up VinFast in the yellow pages and order yours today.
