With a line-up of over 40 speakers, the paid conference at the 2024 WA Mining Conference and Exhibition (WA Mining) is promising to be the best yet.
Held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre from October 9–10, this leading technology event will showcase the state’s critical role in the resource industry’s digital evolution.
Over 100 companies will be showcasing their technical and digital innovations across the two days – including asset- and material-tracking specialists Track’em, who will join Rio Tinto on a panel discussing the issue of empowering operational excellence.
Track’em will delve into its partnership with Rio Tinto and how it helps the major miner keep track of its resources and operations.
“Track’em’s niche is tracking and optimising resources,” Track’em founder and chief executive officer Kashif Saleem said.
“When Rio Tinto approached us to help them, we put all our energy into building a great product and delivering it with value.
“In the end, it all comes down to listening to the customer, to understand what they need and deliver value through innovation and collaboration.”
The collaboration has been a bedrock for Track’em, which combines state-of-the-art technology with quality customer service, both of which the company is excited to showcase at WA Mining.
“The panel at WA Mining is an exciting opportunity for people who will be attending, and we want to make it an interactive experience,” Saleem said.
“People love stories, and I think this case study and panel discussion is a good opportunity to tell a great story.
“I hope that people will come prepared to ask questions and we can show them the value we can deliver to their teams.”
For the Track’em team, it all comes down to one simple question: how can we make our customers’ jobs easier?
“For us, operational excellence within tracking means how we can help our customers finish their jobs safely on time and avoid downtime,” Saleem said.
“Rather than having them go through spreadsheets and silo systems, we give them control and visibility, resulting in operational excellence.”
The highly targeted conference will run alongside a free-to-attend exhibition and seminar series, and will offer expert insight from government personnel, mining organisations and key industry decision-makers.
Saleem said he is excited for the panel and, later, to chat with attendees.
“I’m looking forward to talking to some of the end users and understanding their problems, their challenges, what they are facing, and just generally having a great event,” he said.
“The mining industry is very tight-knit – everyone knows everyone – so it’s important to have and attend these conferences to foster more connections and look at ways you can do things differently in your business.”
