London, 12 September, 2023, (Oilandgaspress) – In February 2023, TotalEnergies took the unilateral initiative of capping the price of fuel at €1.99/L in all of its 3,400 French service stations until the end of the year 2023.
In the context of rising fuel prices since the beginning of summer, TotalEnergies reaffirmed its commitment at the end of August 2023 by confirming that the price of diesel and gasoline will not exceed €1.99/L overall. of its service stations in France. TotalEnergies is to date the only oil company to have adopted such a measure.
Today, nearly 2,600 TotalEnergies service stations out of 3,400 already benefit from this measure since the price of at least one fuel is currently capped at €1.99/L.
TotalEnergies welcomes the government’s support for this initiative and is delighted that the French appreciate its effectiveness in limiting the impact of rising prices on their purchasing power. TotalEnergies therefore announces that the cap at €1.99/L will be extended beyond the end of 2023, as long as prices remain high.
