Tivan has commenced drilling at its lead-silver target at Aileron, part of the Sandover project in the Northern Territory.
The drilling follows the execution of a land access and compensation agreement with Aileron Station, a property situated about 130km north of Alice Springs.
Tivan is working with the station manager in regards to site access, water usage and minimising the impacts on country.
Tivan’s exploration alliance partner EARTH AI will undertake the drill program at Aileron, aiming to address the potential for a polymetallic mineral deposit.
“Tivan announced last year that is had discovered a new high-grade lead target at Aileron following completion of a surface sampling program by EARTH AI,” the company said.
“In addition, Tivan announced a new high-grade silver target had also been discovered at Aileron from rock sampling results with assays of up to 469 grams per tonne.”
EARTH AI arrived on site at Aileron on February 3, and is planning to commence drilling today, February 7. The program will involve two priority 600m diamond drill holes to test the lead-silver target.
Aileron is not the only project Tivan is currently working on.
In December 2024, Tivan completed its Speewah vanadium-titanium-iron project acquisition in a bid to prioritise its critical minerals portfolio.
Tivan signed a binding term sheet to acquire Speewah from King River Resources in February 2023.
The acquisition included every mining, exploration and miscellaneous title at Speewah, as well as all previous studies, testwork and related intellectual property that make up the project.
