The upgraded electric crossover also has ridiculous tech for the price….

The Avatr 07 is a very sporty, fun, high-tech looking electric crossover that comes in at a starting price of just 219,900 yuan ($30,920). Yes, please. Avatr started out as a purely 100% electric (BEV) brand, but it has extended into … extended-range electric vehicles (EREVs), and this model is available in both powertrains.

The Avatr brand is a collaboration between the automaker Changan, the world-leading battery company CATL, and the tech company Huawei.

The Avatr 07 includes a LiDAR sensor (wait, how expensive are LiDAR units?) and can reportedly support Level 4 autonomous driving. Leaning into its futuristic look, it also has an interactive Halo screen.

“Dimensions of the Avatr 07 are 4825/1980/1610 mm with a wheelbase of 2,940 mm. It is available with R20 and R21 wheels. The Avatr 07 has a drag coefficient of 0.259 Cd. For clarity, the Tesla Model Y boasts a seemingly lower number of 0,220 Cd. The lower drag translates into quieter rides and lower energy consumption on highways,” CarNewsChina writes. “Interior of the 2026 model year Avatr 07 got a new light-brown color scheme. The car adopts a large 35.4-inch 4K screen sitting on the center console. There is also a 15.6-inch monitor for the driver, powered by HarmonyOS 5 from Huawei. The Avatr 07 comes standard with 25 speakers (Meridian sound system), a digital rearview mirror, and front seats with a zero-gravity function. The updated SUV could be optionally equipped with a 4-liter fridge.”

What about range? It varies between 610 km (379 miles) and 650 km (404 miles) on a full charge.

Need I go on?

The highest-trim version of the Avatr 07 starts at 279,900 yuan ($39,355), and there are four trims between the lowest and highest priced versions. The RWD version of the car has 252 kW (338 hp) of power, while the AWD version has 440 kW (590 hp) of power.

In the EREV version of the Avatr 07, the electric-only range is 245 km (152 miles) to 333 km (207 miles), according to the CLTC rating system.

Some other details:
