Sometimes it’s nice to just get some simple, old-fashioned, positive stories from Tesla. At its core, Tesla — more than 100,000 Tesla employees — are producing great electric cars, rolling our Tesla Superchargers, and spreading clean technologies around the world. I know, the Supercharger team was supposed to be kaput. However, after what was seemingly an initial rash decision, much of the Supercharging team has been back to work doing what it’s supposed to be doing and getting more Superchargers installed around the world.
One notable update from the company is that it has now installed its 60,000th Supercharger globally. Japan is really not a major market for Tesla, but it brought in the special occasion with its 600th Supercharger stall. It’s also a reminder of how core Superchargers are to Tesla’s business, no matter where Tesla is selling cars.
Incidentally, the location of the 60,000th Supercharger stall is also the location of Tesla’s first V4 Supercharger in Japan. In general, it’s an important spot for the company in the country since it connects Tokyo and Nagoya, Japan’s most populated and 4th most populated cities. “Great location with the fastest connection between Nagoya and Tokyo, accessible from both sides of the highway,” Tesla Director of Charging Max de Zegher noted. “The Japan team is awesome!”
So, progress continues on with Tesla Supercharging. In the midst of so much controversy and confusion, we can at least be happy that the world’s biggest and arguably best EV fast charging network continues to grow and improve.

It sure was nice when it was simple tweets like this that portrayed to most of the world what Tesla was about. Now we’ve got all of this good news mixed up with nonsensical concerns about conspiracy theories, false claims about democracy and freedom of speech, and blatantly misleading manipulation of voters.
