TAKRAF India recently secured another contract for the supply and engineering of a complete bauxite handling system from Hindalco Industries Ltd, India’s leading producer of copper and aluminium.
Hindalco is a longstanding TAKRAF client and a flagship company of the Aditya Birla Group, and is based in Rayagada, India. is the world’s largest aluminum company by revenue and a major global player in copper and speciality alumina. In India, it stands as the leading producer of both copper and aluminium.
The order covers the engineering and supply of a complete bauxite handling system featuring a stacking circuit of 1,500 t/h capacity, reclaiming circuit of 1,200 t/h capacity, one slewing stacker, one bucket wheel reclaimer, five in-plant conveyors (total length: 2.6 km), two apron feeders and two belt feeders. It also includes auxiliary equipment, including belt scales, magnetic separators, metal detectors, hoists, diverter gates, dust suppression and extraction systems
The system will be delivered within 18 months. TAKRAF stated: “This contract is a testament to the trust and confidence our valued clients place in TAKRAF Group.
