ZHENJIANG, China–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#CulturalRelics–Recently, State Grid Zhenjiang Power Supply Company held an electricity infrastructure protection seminar at the Zhenjiang Institute for Cultural Relics Protection and Archaeology, aiming to further raise public awareness about the importance of protecting electricity infrastructure, deepen cooperation between electricity infrastructure protection and archaeological excavation, and enhance construction safety management standards.
The event elaborated on the structure and functions of transmission lines, emphasizing their significance in urban infrastructure. It also reviewed typical recent cases of electricity protection and the use of dust-proof nets during archaeological excavations, with a special focus on precautions to be taken during soil excavation to avoid damage to underground cables or personnel injuries due to improper construction practices.
Through this initiative, State Grid Zhenjiang Power Supply Company and the Zhenjiang Institute for Cultural Relics Protection and Archaeology have further consolidated a collaborative mechanism integrating safety training, information sharing, and emergency response. This effort has effectively upgraded safety management capabilities, deepened archaeologists’ understanding of electricity infrastructure protection, broadened channels for obtaining information on potential hazards to power lines, and jointly established a robust safety defense for protecting electricity infrastructure, thereby ensuring the safe and stable operation of the power grid.
