Sienna Resources acquires cesium and spodumene pegmatite project in Canada

Sienna Resources has expanded its mining portfolio with the acquisition of the Case Lake West Cesium and Spodumene Pegmatite Project, located in the Larder Lake Mining division of Ontario, Canada.

The project, which spans approximately 2,200 contiguous acres, is positioned directly next to Power Metals Corp’s Case Lake cesium and pegmatite swarm discovery.

The proximity to Power Metals Corp’s discovery, which reported “World-Class Cesium results up to 18.13% at Case Lake” on 22 May 2024, underscores the potential of the region as a growing cesium district.

Sienna’s management, however, has stated that previous results or discoveries on neighbouring properties may not necessarily reflect the mineralisation on Sienna’s own holdings.

In addition to the Case Lake West Cesium Project, Sienna has recently acquired several other significant mining projects.

These include the 10,357-acre Uranium Town Project adjacent to Denison Mines, the 10,845-acre Dragon Uranium Project neighbouring Cameco Corporation and the expansive 55,440-acre Atomic Uranium Project in Saskatchewan’s Athabasca Basin.

Sienna also expanded the Elko Lithium Project in Elko County, Nevada, US. This project, comprising around 1,840 contiguous acres, shares a border with Surge Battery Metals’ Nevada North Lithium Project, which has announced the highest-grade lithium deposit in the US.

Furthermore, Sienna is among the larger landholders in Clayton Valley, Nevada, with projects including the Blue Clay Lithium Project, the Silver Peak South Project and the Clayton Valley Deep Basin Lithium Project.

Commenting on the latest acquisition, Sienna president Jason Gigliotti said: “Management is pleased to be able to acquire the Case Lake West Cesium and Spodumene Pegmatite Project directly bordering Power Metal’s Case Lake discovery. This area is very active currently and management is looking to start operations as soon as possible.”

Gigliotti further continued: “Sienna has been building a strong portfolio of Canada-focused assets in 2024, primarily in uranium and now for cesium and lithium. Sienna management plans to continue and build on this trend in the future.”
