Sandvik is introducing its new Pull Test Module at the International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC) 2025, the first component of its upcoming Digital Ground Support Platform.
Pull tests are essential for ensuring mining safety. The new Pull Test Module streamlines the entire process, increasing efficiency and enhancing safety.
With a standardised reporting system, customers gain access to a comprehensive database of pull test data showing all their mining sites in one system. It includes grouping and filtering options, detailed load-displacement plots and the ability to add comments and images to individual reports.
Automatic data uploads are activated once the measuring device is online, reducing reaction times to potential hazards by up to two days compared to previous methods. The Pull Test Module also provides real-time notifications and interactive safety warnings, further improving response times and overall mine safety.
“The Pull Test Module is the first step in our Digital Ground Support Platform, delivering greater efficiency and safety in mining operations,” said Christian Reich, Global Head of Digital Products & Services Ground Support at Sandvik. “We’re excited to unveil this solution at IMARC 2025 and demonstrate how it supports the digitalisation of mining.”
Future modules will cover bolt capacity, seismic analysis and rock mass monitoring, offering mine operators advanced data and analytics for safer, more efficient and more productive mine development.
