Sandvik Mining has recently extended its rotary drills component exchange offering to the DR410i drill rig, marking a key milestone in the expansion of its surface drilling portfolio.
With an established presence on Australia’s west coast and four new fleets set for delivery to Papua New Guinea in the coming months, the launch of the DR410i Component Exchange builds on the proven success of DR412i fleets across the Bowen Basin on the east coast.
This offering provides a reliable, cost-effective way to keep rotary drills running at peak performance, supported by Sandvik’s Component Exchange, a cornerstone of the broader parts and services component solutions.
When a vital component fails, every minute counts. The newly launched DR410i Component Exchange offering provides immediate access to remanufactured components, including cylinders, rotary heads, gearboxes, pumps, undercarriage motors and compressors, cutting downtime by up to 70 percent compared with repair-and-return alternatives.
Returned cores are rebuilt in OEM facilities using genuine parts, endurance kits and the latest product improvements.
Additional advantages include:
- Cost-effective maintenance: The price of Component Exchange items are lower than the price of purchasing new, maximising cost control.
- Sustainable solutions: Minimises environmental impact by re-using components. This regenerates the life of components and avoids the creation of scrap.
- Reinforced safety measures: Fewer on-site repairs mean teams are less exposed to hazardous tasks, keeping work safer and controlled.
- By broadening Component Exchange across more of their rotary surface drill portfolio, Sandvik continues to pave the way for surface drilling operations to achieve greater efficiency, cost control and sustainability without compromising quality or safety.
Beyond Component Exchange, Sandvik’s parts and services division offers a comprehensive range of key component solutions, including new, repair, and exchange options designed to maximise reliability, reduce downtime, and protect your investment.
