Efficiency isn’t just about extraction – it’s about how well every element of a site operates. The movement of tools, samples, and supplies must be smooth and safe, especially in environments where space is limited, access is challenging, and time is money.
Enter Eco Pallets’ Eco-OzCrate 2: a foldable pallet bin offering flexibility, mobility, and sustainability across mining operations. Designed to handle field logistics, this container does more than store – it supports site mobility, reduces downtime, and strengthens a mine’s safety and operational performance.
Reducing downtime
Downtime is one of the most expensive factors in mining, often caused by logistical delays, misplaced equipment, and/or equipment failure. At mine sites, moving equipment between phases can be a major source of downtime.
With its collapsible design and stackability, the Eco-OzCrate 2 makes it easy to pack up or provide materials fast, allowing quicker setup at new mining camps, and efficient wrap up of a drilling program.
“Our OzCrate series is fully interstackable with existing solid bins on the market – a key consideration in our design process.” the company said.
The bin also has a high load capacity. With up to 3000 kg static and 1000 kg dynamic load ratings, the Eco-OzCrate 2 is tough enough to handle even the heaviest of mining contents. “With four-way forklift access, it offers a highly efficient handling solution for warehouse environments.” Eco Pallets said.
Additionally, misplaced or lost equipment can bring operations to a halt. With a large internal capacity, the Eco-OzCrate 2 makes it easier to categorise and label different tools and equipment. This structured approach helps reduce search times and avoid delays.
Flexible for every phase of the mining lifecycle
One of Eco-OzCrate 2’s biggest advantages is its versatility across all stages of mining:
- Exploration: store and transport RC samples, minerals and materials for analysis
- Development: move electrical parts, equipment water fittings, and cables across site to prepare the site for extraction
- Production: handle spare parts for equipment and machinery, labour’s personal protective equipment (PPE), and any waste that is produced during the extraction process
- Rehabilitation: store tools and materials needed to restore the mined land
Mining is a time-sensitive and high-risk industry where every piece of equipment must perform without fail.
“The OzCrate-2 series is built for durability and designed to optimise space when not in use.” the company said said.
Its design helps with improving safety and efficiency on any mining site. Whether it’s used in drilling programs, equipment supply chains, or daily operations, the Eco-OzCrate 2 brings a new level of performance to mining material management.
“We’re proud to deliver such effective outcomes for our customers across the resources industry who rely on this product every day.” Eco Pallets said.
