Sandvik Mining is transforming the future of surface drilling with the launch of AutoMine surface fleet, a new feature that enables operators to manage more than 15 Sandvik surface i-series drill rigs from any connected site location.
Combining autonomous rig coordination with Sandvik’s proven AutoCycle capabilities, the system enables continuous drilling with minimal human intervention.
Fully integrated with the AutoMine universal station, it supports both boom and rotary drills in even the harshest environmental and geological conditions.
Successfully trialled at Boliden Kevitsa in Finland, AutoMine surface fleet has proven its ability to maintain safety, precision and productivity under real-world pressure, marking a new era in scalable, autonomous surface mining operations.
