IRVINE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Anticipation is mounting for the upcoming Building Industry Show––SoCal’s largest trade show for the building industry––according to The Building Industry Association of Southern California (BIASC). Registrations are already filling quickly for the popular Utility and Technology Boot Camp, a special Show segment that includes a discussion on the future of housing and new technologies with panelists from four of California’s largest utility and service providers: Cox, Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas), San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) and San Diego County Water Authority.
“The Utility and Technology Boot Camp is one of the Show’s most anticipated segments because it centers on the future,” said Craig Foster, Chief Operating Officer/Executive Vice President for BIASC. “We’re thrilled to bring together a respected group of leaders in one place to talk about how new technologies will continue play a major role in creating more affordable, sustainable, and resilient housing solutions. It’s going to be an eye-opening discussion.”
Boot Camp attendees will also hear about the latest trends and developments in utility and HOME technology, including smart home technology, the SoCalGas[H2] Innovation Experience, and advancements involving water conservation and efficiency. The event includes networking opportunities with other professionals in the field, offering invaluable opportunities for one-on-one connections following the panel discussion.
This year marks the centennial anniversary of the BIASC and the 85th anniversary of the BIA of San Diego (BIA-SD). The Building Industry Show will kick off with an anniversary celebration aboard the USS Midway on October 25, while the trade show will take place on October 26 at the Marriott Marquis San Diego in San Diego, California.
