AAA Trailers is keeping the mining industry moving with its range of heavy-duty trailers.

According to the International Energy Agency, the world will need 50 new lithium mines, 60 new nickel mines and 17 new cobalt mines to keep up with 2030 emissions goals.

And the mines that already exist just keep getting bigger and more efficient, processing more ore faster than ever.

All in all, this means companies are producing an enormous amount of stock.

But the best processing plant under the sun isn’t worth much if a company doesn’t have the means to move its product as quickly as it puts it out.

That’s why companies like AAA Trailers exist.

With more than a decade of experience in manufacturing, distributing and servicing trailers to a range of sectors, AAA Trailers helps keep the wheels of Australian industry turning.

The company’s extensive range includes drop decks, side tippers, water tankers, dollies, and many more. And as a manufacturer, it can even offer customised trailers to its customers.

With a continuous stock of equipment, AAA Trailers provides the kind of rapid turnaround that is especially desirable in a result-driven climate.

“What we’re seeing right now across a lot of industries is an abundance of stock to move and a major undersupply of tippers,” AAA Trailers director Daniel Bull told Australian Mining. “In a lot of cases, customers are waiting years for a trailer. But we’ve got trailers ready to go; with us, it’s three to four weeks, not three to four years.”

From initial consultation and concept design through to assembly and testing, AAA Trailers works alongside customers to get the safest and most cost-efficient outcome.

The company’s line of side tippers is particularly popular in the mining industry.

AAA Trailers’ newest side tipper is the heavy duty tipper semi-trailer. This trailer has an aggregate mass of 47 tonnes and a tare of 10.2 tonnes, and its high-tensile steel bowl is over 10m long, measuring in at 25m3.

The unit’s two speed JOST landing legs help with precise alignment. The floor and door are constructed out of 6mm, 450MPa high-tensile steel, keeping just about any stock contained.

The side tipping model allows for easy haulage and offloading, which is important in the mining industry given the sheer quantity of stock that needs to be moved.

AAA Trailers often updates its catalogue of stock, keeping up with the needs of the market.

“We’ll be able to offer heavy-duty grain tippers by the end of the year,” said Bull. “The grain tippers see a lot of use in mining, especially in lithium carting.”

AAA’s trailers are fully imported with reputable running gear and assembled at the company’s workshops in Sydney and Perth by its highly experienced team. This means all of its trailers are finished to the highest quality, using Australian-standard steel.

The company emphasises longevity and safety with the fitment of electronic braking systems (EBS) on each of its trailers. EBS is designed to add an extra level of safety due to its predictive nature, as it can detect if the vehicle will roll and, in some cases, slows down engine speed.

The trailers that AAA builds typically feature Evertek hydraulic ramps, which are suitable for various applications.

In addition, AAA Trailers has a strong focus on after-sale support. The company is proud to say the quality of its trailers and superior attention to detail mean it has rarely experienced major after-sale issues with a customer.

All trailers supplied by AAA come with a standard 12-month warranty, and it can also register trailers for its New South Wales customers.

A company’s success is constrained by its ability to move its stock quickly, and it doesn’t get much quicker than AAA Trailers.
