NIO Sales Up 25% (Or 2.5%) – CleanTechnica

NIO achieved 21,017 deliveries in July. That was 12,675 deliveries from the NIO brand, 5,976 deliveries from the family-oriented ONVO brand, and 2,366 deliveries from the new firefly brand of small but high-end cars.

NIO boasted that this means its sales rose 25.2% in the first seven months of the year compared to the first seven months of 2024. That is, indeed, solid (if not stunning) growth. However, there’s a reason why NIO didn’t mention its July year-over-year sales growth. That’s because it was up just 2.5%.

Despite the less than stellar year-over-year results in July, there is some hope for faster growth in coming months. “As the NIO brand’s iconic product for 2025, the all-round flagship SUV All-New ES8 is set to debut in late August with its official launch at NIO Day 2025 in late September—available for delivery upon its market introduction.” That should juice the sales charts again, right?

Overall, from its first delivery onward, NIO has sold 806,731 vehicles, 737,923 from the NIO brand, 58,599 from the ONVO brand, 10,209 from the young little firefly brand.
