New leaders for Andromeda and Helix

Andromeda Metals and Helix Resources have both appointed new managing directors, marking a new era of leadership for both companies.

Andromeda Metals

Andromeda managing director and chief executive officer (CEO) Bob Katsiouleris has resigned from his role, citing “personal reasons”.

Katsiouleris will continue in the role until July 31, after which he will continue to work for Andromeda as an advisor to the board, based in Europe.

He will be replaced by Luke Anderson, who has over 30 years’ experience with ASX-listed resource and industrial minerals companies. Anderson was most recently CEO of One Rail Australia.

“While my personal circumstances have unfortunately necessitated my decision to return to Europe, I am delighted that Luke has accepted the role, and look forward to working closely with him to effectively execute on Andromeda’s strategic goals,” Katsiouleris said.

Anderson said he was thrilled to be joining Andromeda.

“Being from Adelaide, I am thrilled at the opportunity to join Andromeda, with its unique market and product focused positioning, high-quality kaolin resources and strong future growth opportunities,” Anderson said.

“I look forward to working with the board and Bob in progressing the Great White project towards construction and eventual production.”

Helix Resources

Helix executive technical director Kylie Prendergast has been appointed as the company’s managing director.

Prendergast is an exploration geologist and respected technical leader with over 25 years’ experience in the international mining and resource sector.

“Her skillset was identified as highly complementary to the company’s copper exploration activities when she was invited to join the board in May 2022,” Helix said.

“In the role of executive technical director, Prendergast has been instrumental in preparing and delivering the current strategic exploration campaign to detect copper-gold targets and ultimately deliver major discoveries in the highly endowed Cobar copper-gold region of New South Wales.”

Current Helix executive chair Mike Rosenstreich will begin his role as non-executive chair on June 1.
