The Kia EV9 has been one of the most widely acclaimed electric vehicles of the last couple of years. It has won numerous awards and has gotten rave reviews (including from us). The model is yet to break 10,000 US sales a quarter, but that has to be coming. in any case, the news of the day is that 2025 Kia EV9 pricing is out.

The three-row electric SUV still has quite competitive pricing, only getting a slight price bump. The Light Long Range trim has had its MSRP increase by only $700, and pricing on other trims remained the same. Here are the details:

“The EV9 is the recipient of numerous prestigious accolades since it launched last year including the 2024 North American Utility Vehicle of the Year, World Car of the Year & World Electric Vehicle, Car and Driver 10 Best, Kelly Blue Book Best 3-Row Electric Vehicle and Motor Week Best EV,” Kia notes.

The company also provides the following notable updates by trim:

    • Light Long Range RWD:  Front Sunroof is now standard
    • Land Trim AWD: Relaxation Seat Package is no longer an option

Colors (Exterior & Interior)

    • New Exterior colors added: Glacial White Pearl, Ebony Black
    • Exterior colors deleted: Ivory Silver Gloss, Ivory Silver Matte, Ocean Blue Matte

Will the EV9’s second model year see a sales surge? Assuming word of mouth does its job and all of those awards and rave reviews come from strong substance and competitive advantage, one would think so. What do you think?
