Micromine, next-generation technology for mining, has unveiled the 2026 Momentum Release, marking it says the beginning of an exciting new chapter as part of the Weir Group PLC.
The 2026 Momentum Release brings together Micromine’s high-performance solutions with Weir’s global scale and deep industry expertise to accelerate the delivery of digital technology across the entire mining lifecycle.
“This year marks the beginning of a new chapter for Micromine as part of Weir, a leader in engineering technology that makes mining smarter, more efficient and sustainable,” said Kristen Walsh, President of Digital Solutions at Weir. “By combining Micromine’s high-performing software with Weir’s global reach and mining expertise, we’re building something unique: next-generation technology and a data-sharing platform that will help customers optimise performance from exploration to extraction.”
She added: “Our growing portfolio of digital solutions, including Motion Metrics and our recent agreement to acquire Fast2Mine, is bringing together modelling, estimation, planning, monitoring, and fleet management within one connected environment. As part of Weir, Micromine can invest more, innovate faster, and deliver even greater value to projects, teams, and communities worldwide.”
Micromine says mining companies today face complex challenges: fragmented workflows, inconsistent data, and the need to respond quickly to change. “The 2026 Momentum Release supports Micromine’s commitment to addressing these challenges by equipping geologists, engineers, and decision-makers with technology that turns raw data into real-time insight – enabling collaboration, reducing risk, and boosting operational performance.”
