The American solution provider of next-generation energy infrastructure continues to scale operations to meet record demand through expansion of its team, products, and services across North America.
SCHENECTADY, N.Y.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Lynkwell, a leading energy infrastructure provider, capitalizes on the exponential demand of 2024 and accelerates growth into 2025 by expanding both its go-to-market leadership team and comprehensive platform of solutions.
Despite a measure of industry volatility in 2024, charging infrastructure momentum continued to be strong. The economics of operating charging stations are becoming more compelling and attracting additional investments into the space, driven by EV sales rising 7.3 percent year-over-year from 2023 to 2024 and DCFC hubs achieving utilization rate targets.
Lynkwell capitalized on this surge in demand as the EV charging market matured past simply installing chargers to focus on long-term resilient solutions built in the United States. With its manufacturing and software development teams both located in the U.S., Lynkwell finds itself ideally positioned for a landscape that prioritizes American products and addressing concerns over outsourced software operations required for critical EV charging and battery management.
Some key areas of success in 2024 include:
- Rebranding and relaunching multiple entities under the unified Lynkwell brand, further enhancing its longstanding position of combined vertical and horizontal integration
- Lynkwell’s ViaLynk ™ network moving up in ranking to the third-largest public charging network in the Northeast and the eighth-largest in the United States, with deployments in more than 40 states, territories and Canada
- Making the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies for the third consecutive year
- Tripling year-over-year sales growth, including supporting several national fleets, over 500 DC fast chargers, thousands of level 2 chargers, and multiple sites with battery energy storage and local generation
- Launching the latest version of Lynkwell’s Buy America Build America-compliant XLynk™ level 2 charger, the first and only commercial EV charger with a lifetime warranty
- One of the first US companies to achieve OCPP 2.0.1 certification, along with the successful deployment of security certificate-based Plug and Charge technology
- Enabling and supporting dozens of charging networks across the U.S., spanning from Florida to Alaska, that operate under their own brand utilizing the Lynkwell platform
Building upon the market validation of 2024, Lynkwell continues investment to drive sustained growth. This includes several product innovations across hardware, software, service, and support in addition to strategic hiring. Expansion is planned across all teams, with a focus on delivering industry-leading customer and partner support, beginning with key additions highlighted within this release.
