Includes collaborative buses with coachbuilder IndaCar
BRUSSELS, Belgium — Iveco Bus rolled out an expanded zero-emission portfolio at Busworld Europe 2025, cementing its position as a major player in the continent’s rapidly electrifying public transport sector. Demonstrations, including the agile new eDaily LE electric minibus on the test track, underscored the brand’s commitment to battery-electric solutions for every urban and intercity need.
Claudio Passerini, President of Iveco Bus, highlighted the company’s strong market performance, noting it has secured a 21% share of Europe’s electric city bus market, placing it second in total European volumes.
The company is now poised to capitalize on future electrification mandates across Europe with a complete portfolio spanning small urban transport to challenging medium-distance routes and high-demand city applications.
New electric minibus targets urban niche
Making its world premiere, the eDaily LE addresses the growing demand for smaller electric public transporters. This low-entry variant, based on the existing eDaily platform, is designed for the tight corners of narrow European city streets. The vehicle offers a choice of three or four 37 kWh lithium-ion battery packs, totaling 111 kWh or 148 kWh.
The four-pack version provides a claimed range of 270 kilometers, suitable for full-day urban routes. Batteries can be replenished in just two hours at fast-charging stations or overnight in ten hours via standard AC chargers. The 7.60-meter vehicle seats 13 and accommodates up to 27 passengers total, with full accessibility features including a side ramp.
Partnerships expand minibus reach
While the eDaily LE represents Iveco’s own integrated minibus solution, the company continues to leverage strategic partnerships to broaden its presence in the small bus segment. Iveco maintains a long-standing manufacturing agreement with Spanish coachbuilder Indcar, which specializes in building bus bodies on the Iveco Daily chassis.
Indcar’s e-Mobi City — an electric minibus built on the Iveco eDaily platform — was also displayed at Busworld 2025, demonstrating the versatility of the base chassis. Just prior to the exhibition, Indcar announced a significant order for 129 e-Mobi City units destined for the Lazio region of Italy, illustrating how the Iveco platform enables multiple coachbuilders to deliver market-ready electric minibus solutions tailored to different operator requirements.
This partnership approach allows Iveco to serve diverse market needs: operators seeking a turnkey factory solution can choose the eDaily LE, while those preferring specialized coachwork can select partner offerings like the e-Mobi City, all built on proven Iveco electric architecture.

Award-winning intercity electric takes center stage
The Crossway Elec NF captured a major industry win at the exhibition, securing the Sustainable Bus Award 2026 in the Intercity category. This marks the fifth time the Crossway family has been honored, validating its importance in the medium-distance segment.
The electric version joins the successful Crossway line, which has sold over 65,000 units since 2006. Engineered for longer routes, the high-floor Crossway Elec NF features a centralized 290 kW electric motor. Modular NMC batteries scale up to 414 kWh, providing a manufacturer-claimed range of 400 kilometers, and the system supports rapid charging up to 240 kW via CCS Combo 2. Integrated safety systems meet the latest European standards, including Blind Spot Information System and Driver Drowsiness and Attention Warning.
E-Way and market position define strategy
Completing the electric lineup was the 12-meter E-Way city bus, featuring the latest battery technology engineered for full-day operation on a single charge, easing operator concerns about mid-route charging.
The Crossway Low Entry Elec also remained a focus for peri-urban and interurban routes requiring low-floor accessibility. Passerini’s figures underscore Iveco’s broader reach: the company holds 54% of the intercity bus market and an overall 20% share of total European bus volumes.
At its stand, Iveco emphasized a “technology-neutral strategy,” showcasing electric vehicles alongside models running on biomethane, natural gas, and biofuels. This approach acknowledges the varied pace of energy transition across different markets. Iveco positioned itself as a comprehensive solutions provider, offering not just hardware but also financing, training, predictive maintenance, and fleet management tools via the Iveco On portal.
