I&E Systems has continued to push the boundaries of digital transformation in system engineering with the release of the latest version of its breakthrough software solution, DADx.
Previous versions of DAD have been used by some of the world’s leading companies on major projects across a range of industries.
The software tool has established a proven track record of enabling the design and engineering of systems at less than half the cost of the traditional way of doing things.
This is made possible by digital modelling that removes the need for ‘paperwork’ and manages system information in a much smarter and simpler way.
“We’re not content to stop at the impact we’ve already had,” owner Dermot Kennedy said. “We’re in a unique position to be able to leverage our technical engineering knowledge and combine it with the ongoing development and learnings from DAD over the last 20 years.
“Outside of our DAD clients, the mining industry is still wedded to a world of documents and the time-consuming and costly work practices that surround them. DADx makes it simpler and easier for them to make the digital transformation, and most importantly, realise the significant cost savings.”
DAD’s tagline ‘it’s about time’ has been a key driver of the development of DADx. New features that build on the success of earlier versions of DAD include:
- Improved user interface that includes overall system management views. This enhanced interface is of particular benefit to management as it enables users to navigate the complexities of modern systems in a much simpler way
- Better segregation of model layers. Layers are an advanced feature of DAD that allow users to define different aspects of a system without over burdening the ‘base’ hardware layer
- Enhanced description of the individual objects within the model. This improved display shows all the known information about the object, including its data and background material, its relationships within the overall system, and change history.
The DAD team is committed to working with its customers to ensure that they can make the most of this powerful tool.
“With a little understanding we can help clients establish the modelling method and cut thousands of hours from their current project and asset management practices,” director of relationships Jim Stancombe said.
“We encourage decision makers in the mining industry to ask themselves ‘am I stuck in the old way of doing things?’ and then to experience the significant benefits of digital transformation that DADx brings.”
