Haultrax to present next generation fleet management system at IMARC – International Mining

Haultrax is set to unveil the next generation of its Fleet Management System at this year’s International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC), taking place in Sydney from October 21-23. Visitors will get a first look at the new FleetOps user interface and the launch of HXTag, a rugged, next-generation plug-and-play hardware platform built for fast, accurate machine data capture.

Both innovations Haultrax says mark a significant step forward in its mission to improve people’s lives through the implementation and use of technology — “helping operations achieve a more productive operating culture and optimise the entire load and haul operation.”

FleetOps 2.0, part of Haultrax’s Fleet Management System it says has been thoughtfully redesigned with supervisors in min; delivering live operational insights to hit production and safety targets, reduce delays, and make confident decisions. “Featuring all-new intuitive and user-friendly visuals optimised for tablets and phones, FleetOps ensures supervisors have critical information right at their fingertips, wherever they are on site.”

Completely redesigned to help optimise the entire load and haul cycle, FleetOps 2.0 Haultrax says will enable production supervisors to spend more time in the pit focused on hitting current targets instead of chasing data.

“We understand the mining business – its people, processes and practical challenges – and design technology for the end user to ensure it actually delivers value,” said Lorenzo Scalabrini, Operational Lead – HX Digital at Haultrax. “Our mission has always been to improve people’s lives through technology. With this launch, we’re giving supervisors the tool they need to confidently meet production and safety goals, lead their teams to success every shift, and make their work easier and faster.”

Alongside FleetOps 2.0, Haultrax will also launch HXTag – the heart of FleetOps, a compact, ultra-modern edge computing device designed to capture precise machine data through GNSS, digital inputs, CAN bus, and serial communication over WLAN, LAN, and GSM networks.

Plug-and-play and purpose-built for mining environments, HXTag automatically collects and transmits operational data. “It’s designed for easy external mounting and rated to IP66K to withstand even high-pressure water cannon blasts during machine washdowns. Proven in the harshest conditions, HXTag integrates seamlessly with FleetOps to provide instant visibility into production performance.”

Haultrax is also introducing FMSaaS, a Software-as-a-Service model for its Fleet Management solution that removes traditional barriers to entry. “The model combines hardware, software, updates, and support into a single monthly fee per asset – with no minimum term – enabling mining companies to adopt advanced technology in a flexible, cost-effective way.”

FMSaaS it says offers a fresh approach to mining operations, giving teams immediate access to a Fleet Management System solution without upfront investment. This approach ensures that every operation can start benefiting from real-time insights, improved productivity, and operational optimisation from day one.

“Many mining operations face challenges adopting new technology due to high upfront costs and complex implementation requirements,” said Gordon Crane, Commercial Director at Haultrax. “FMSaaS solves this by delivering the Fleet Management System as a simple monthly subscription — providing operations with the tools they need to improve productivity and efficiency without the usual financial or operational hurdles.”

Haultrax will be showcasing the Next Generation Fleet Management System live at IMARC Booth M30.
