Geely Auto officially launched its electric SUV, the Geely EX5, across six strategic markets in the Adriatic region on June 10, 2025: Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, and Montenegro. As Geely Auto’s first global model to achieve EU WVTA (Whole Vehicle Type Approval) certification, the Geely EX5 represents a pivotal milestone in Geely Auto’s global electrification process, offering cutting-edge and intelligent new energy vehicle solutions tailored to regional customers.

Geely Auto hosted exclusive unveiling events in Serbia and Croatia. The launch event in Serbia drew nearly 40 leading automotive media outlets from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, and Montenegro. Media also tested the Geely EX5 firsthand through a test drive activity. Earlier, the Croatian launch generated equally impressive enthusiasm, with over 40 prominent automotive journalists from Croatia and Slovenia participating. Media were impressed with Geely EX5’s exceptional capabilities and Geely Auto’s technological advancements, commenting that this model will revitalize the regional electric vehicle landscape.

Since entering the Serbian market in March 2023, in close collaboration with its exclusive regional partner, SEEAG, Geely has successfully introduced several models in the region— including the Starray, Coolray, and EX5 — effectively satisfy diverse customer demands in design, performance, and environmental sustainability.

Geely Auto has also made steady progress in expanding its footprint across the Adriatic region as the brand has established 36 channel outlets across six countries and plans to further expand its network. Notably, the 1,600-square-meter flagship store in Serbia also stands out as the largest showroom of any Chinese auto brand in the region, a powerful testament to Geely Auto’s growing presence and brand strength. By adopting a unified regional dealership mode, the brand ensures consistent image presence and standardized service quality.
