We just got details on the updates to the Ford Mustang Mach-E for model year 2025 the other day, and now we’ve got info on the updates coming to the 2025 Ford E-Transit.

Interestingly, Ford announced updates to the Ford Transit (gas powered) and Ford E-Transit at the same time, but no one should be even thinking about buying a fossil-powered Transit.

Starting with the most important thing, price, here are the details:

Starting MSRP for 2025 Transit models (electric and gas):

  • 2025 E-Transit and comparable Transit cargo van models — $51,000
  • 2025 E-Transit Chassis Cab — $46,200
  • 2025 E-Transit Cutaway — $45,700″

Extra interestingly, Ford does actually make the case for why you should go with the electric option:

“The Business Case for Going Electric

  • Significant cost savings with up to 48% reduction in scheduled maintenance costs compared to gas and diesel vans2
  •  Available local, state, and federal incentives for electric vehicles and charging adoption
  • New Commercial Charging Cash Incentive: $2,000 rebate toward charging infrastructure and Ford Pro charging solutions for eligible commercial customers who purchase or lease an E-Transit
  • Access to Ford Pro’s software and charging solutions help improve productivity for fleets and capability on Ford electric vehicles.”

See, even Ford agrees — no one should buy the fossil-powered Transit. Just go electric.

Ford also shared details on trade packages and options. Here are short summaries on the four factory-installed trade packages:

“Available Trade Packages include:

  • Electrician trade package, which includes drawers and bins to store parts and reels to hang bundles of wiring — MSRP starting at $4,370
  • HVAC trade package, featuring large shelves and storage bins, but also specialized refrigerant storage racks and restraints — MSRP starting at $4,440
  • General Contractor package, mix of multipurpose shelves, bins, drawers, and hooks — MSRP starting at $2,900
  • Foldable Shelving Package, with deep, large-capacity folding shelves intended for delivery services — MSRP starting at $3,300.”

Well, those do certainly sound interesting and useful. More info about the E-Transit (or Transit) can be found here.
