London, November 19, 2025, (Oilandgaspress) ––From 19 to 21 November 2025, Eni brings to Angola Food, Energy & Life (FE&L), the photographic exhibition that narrates, through a visual and immersive journey, the connection between Angolan culinary traditions and energy. Inaugurated at the Iron Palace in the presence of the Minister of Mineral Resources, Petroleum and Gas, Diamantino Azevedo, under the patronage of the Embassy of Italy in Luanda, the exhibition places local communities and the transformative impact of the Eni for Clean Cooking program at its centre, a program that ensures access to cleaner cooking solutions in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The exhibition revolves around improved cooking systems, solutions designed to reduce biomass consumption, lower emissions, and improve indoor air quality, contributing to the sustainable development of communities. Thanks to collaboration with local partner Salesianos de Dom Bosco, the stoves are manufactured at vocational training centres in Luanda and Benguela. The improved stoves reduce by up to half the amount of fuel needed for cooking, offering safer alternatives to traditional open-fire methods, such as the three-stone system commonly used in rural areas.
The exhibition features more than 40 photographs by internationally renowned photographer and World Press Photo 2021 winner Gabriele Galimberti, documenting the program’s impact on Angolan communities. His images enter homes and villages to closely observe how food preparation and daily life change thanks to the new cooking systems. Chef and United Nations Regional Goodwill Ambassador for Africa and Ambassador for Responsible Tourism Fatmata Binta, together with Eni specialists, followed the preparation of several typical Angolan dishes, shown both in their traditional form and in the versions cooked using the improved stoves already distributed to the population. Videos, photographs, and testimonials blend into a collective story of the country’s rich gastronomic tradition, revealing the deep connection between food, health, culture, and energy.
