Flexco has announced the acquisition of SHG Conveyor Control GmbH, the creator of Rip Prevent+, an advanced AI-powered conveyor monitoring system that enhances conveyor efficiency.
Rip Prevent+ delivers real-time belt rip detection, prevention, and operational insights without sensors inside the belt, lasers, cameras, or structural modifications.
This plug-and-play solution works with any conveyor, enabling rapid deployment and immediate value for operators in cement, mining, aggregates and bulk handling.
The system provides real-time belt rip and anomaly detection with automatic shutdown in seconds. It is fully plug-and-play with no sensors, lasers, cloud or structural changes required.
Rip Prevent+ also offers MassFlow monitoring for material flow visualisation and operational efficiency, motor condition monitoring for load, efficiency, and overloads, and energy and network analysis to identify inefficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
With optional sensors, Rip Prevent+ can provide gearbox and bearing vibration analysis, scraper and roller monitoring for comprehensive belt performance tracking.
This acquisition expands Flexco’s digital portfolio, combining Rip Prevent+ with Flexco Elevate and the Novitool Aero Splice Press with IntelliSplice technology.
“The future of conveyor belt management is digital, connected, and data-driven,” Flexco said . “SHG, combined with our Elevate digital monitoring platform, enables us to continue our mission of accelerating our ability to deliver enhanced value to those who rely on us every day as their partners in productivity.”
