Fenner Conveyors, Tyrecycle forge strategic partnership on circular innovation in mining – International Mining

Fenner Conveyors and Tyrecycle have joined forces in what they say is a bold new partnership set to reshape sustainability in bulk materials handling, encompassing complementary rubber expertise and a shared desire to support mining customers for the long-term.

Fenner Conveyors and Tyrecycle, part of the ResourceCo Group, are set to leverage their global networks to unlock cutting-edge circular solutions.

Tyrecycle CEO, Jim Fairweather, said the partnership will drive progress and deliver sustainable innovation to the mining sector. “We’re combining world-class polymer manufacturing with local know-how to deliver real, scalable change,” he said.

Fenner Conveyors Managing Director, Jennifer Green, said at the heart of this initiative is a powerful vision: an endless lifecycle of a conveyor belt.

“It’s no longer the end for end-of-life conveyor belts,” Green said. “We are transforming these belts into new solutions that can continue to deliver value to the industry.”

This disruptive approach to decarbonising mining operations will reduce the environmental impact of key rubber products used in mining across Australia.

“Our solution is designed to be seamless for mining companies, integrating reverse logistics and existing services with new commercial models and technologies,” Green said

But what truly sets this partnership apart is its local impact – from Perth to the Pilbara, and back. The process of belt manufacture and then return and recycling takes place across two facilities, just one suburb apart. That means local jobs, local investment and a trusted supply chain with high-order environmental outcomes, the companies say.
