Epiroc says it is redefining underground mining productivity with the launch of the Minetruck MT33: a compact haul truck delivering unmatched 33-tonne haulage performance in medium drifts.
With enhanced safety, productivity and operator comfort, the Minetruck MT33 brings the best features from the large truck segment into a smaller footprint, the OEM claims.
“The robust design and low profile of the Minetruck MT33, combined with automatic transmission and high ramp speeds, ensures efficient and reliable operations in demanding underground environments,” Prerna Devkar, Global Product Manager Minetruck – Small Segment at Epiroc’s Underground division, says.
The Minetruck MT33 is built on decades of experience and evolved from Epiroc’s Minetruck MT436B, a 32.6 t capacity underground truck for medium to large underground operations. The truck has been developed in close collaboration with customers to ensure that it meets real-world needs and exceeds expectations, the company added.
Devkar added: “Safety is engineered into every detail of the Minetruck MT33. From factory-fitted emergency stops and fail-safe braking systems to integrated cameras for superior visibility, the Minetruck MT33 is engineered to keep operations running safely and smoothly.”
The Minetruck MT33 is built to last by featuring strategically placed components for maximum protection, reduced wear and longer life. Its smart PLC display improves data accessibility and performance monitoring, as well as serviceability by streamlining diagnostics and maintenance. Moreover, features like engine delay shutdown and soft stops extend machine life and keep productivity on track.
