Eni opens up supercomputer to companies and research professionals

London, June 13, 2025 , (Oilandgaspress) –––HPC Call4Innovators is an innovation programme created by Eni in collaboration with AMD, HPE and CINECA, with support from Plug and Play. It offers startups, SMEs, academia and research centres access to the computing power of HPC6, Eni’s latest-generation supercomputer, with the goal of building a broad innovation ecosystem focused on key areas of the energy transition.
The initiative aims to identify new computing solutions to accelerate progress in the energy sector towards decarbonisation and technological innovation. It offers access to a world-class technological infrastructure, equipped with advanced computing resources and supported by Eni’s extensive network of specialised expertise.

HPC6 computing time available to selected projects
Participants in the Call can submit their projects across five strategic focus areas. The selected winners will gain access to a world-class technological infrastructure and Eni’s network of specialised expertise. This opportunity will enable them to optimise development time and costs, test solutions in an advanced industrial computing environment, and fast-track their entry and growth in the market.

Who can apply to the HPC Call4Innovators
The Call is open to startups, scaleups, universities, research centres, innovative SMEs, public/private joint laboratories and independent professionals. Applicants are invited to submit an innovative simulation or modelling project using an HPC environment, within one of the five strategic focus areas:
