London, November 07, 2025, (Oilandgaspress) ––– Swiss trading firm, Gunvor has reportedly dropped its bid to buy $22bn of Lukoil’s international assets after the US moved to block the deal. US Treasury on Thursday stated in a post on X that it would not grant a licence for Gunvor to operate Lukoil’s assets “as long as Putin continues the senseless killings” in Ukraine. It described Gunvor, as the “Kremlin’s puppet”.

Gunvor Group Ltd has signed a US $2.395 billion sustainability-linked, multi-currency revolving credit facility (“RCF” or “Facility”) in favour of Gunvor International B.V. and Gunvor SA. The Facility consists of two tranches, available to Gunvor International B.V. and Gunvor SA:

Tranche A: US $1.885 billion 364-day Revolving Credit Facility with three 364-day extension options
Tranche B: US $510 million 3-year Revolving Credit Facility with one 364-day extension option
Thanks to strong support from existing and new banking partners the Facility ended up upsized this year again, with additional liquidity successfully raised in both tranches.

The RCF will be used for general corporate purposes, including the refinancing of the existing US $1,775,000,000 364-day tranche of the 2024 European Revolving Credit Facilities Agreement, and the US $350,000,000 3-year tranche of the 2023 European Revolving Credit Facilities Agreement.

The Facility has a US $400 million Accordion Option and complements the existing US $490 million 3-year tranche of the 2024 European Revolving Credit Facilities Agreement.

The Facility continues to come with a comprehensive set of ESG-linked KPIs: reduction of Scope 1 and 2 Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions; reduction of Scope 3 GHG emissions to improve the energy efficiency of the shipping fleet; the investment in renewable and carbon reduction projects; and the assessment of the Group’s assets, JVs, and suppliers against Human Rights principles. Each KPI is annually tested and externally verified. Read More

Solar panels and a complementary green PPA signed between HEINEKEN and EDP will power Rondo’s Heat Battery. The Central de Cervejas e Bebidas Brewery and Malting Plant, part of HEINEKEN Company, in Portugal, is taking a significant step towards decarbonization, operating with clean, zero-emission steam. The project results from a partnership between HEINEKEN, EDP, and Rondo Energy, and marks the first major Heat-as-a-Service agreement in Portugal, combining solar power and thermal storage to decarbonize industrial processes through heat electrification.

The HEINEKEN Group, through Grupo Central de Cervejas, Rondo Energy, and EDP have signed an agreement to install a 100 MWh thermal storage battery at the Central de Cervejas e Bebidas Brewery and Malting Plant in Lisbon, Portugal. This will be one of the largest heat batteries in the beverage sector worldwide and will contribute to transforming the facility into one of the most sustainable production centers in the world by operating with clean, zero-emission steam. This partnership also marks the first major Heat-Purchase-Agreement in Portugal, leveraging an on-site renewables and storage solution. The project is subject to customary administrative and regulatory approvals. Rondo’s Heat Battery stores renewable electricity as high-temperature heat, delivering safe, continuous, zero-carbon steam and eliminating the need for fossil-fuel boilers. In this project, EDP will install a 7 MWp solar plant on the grounds of Central de Cervejas e Bebidas to power the Rondo battery, which will then supply the steam required for production processes. The battery will also be charged with renewable energy from the grid through a long-term flexible power purchase agreement (PPA) of 25 GWh per year between Central de Cervejas e Bebidas and EDP. With this PPA, EDP will optimize the delivery of energy, ensuring flexibility and maximizing the use of renewable electricity generated. This tailor-made solution enables HEINEKEN to adopt advanced technology without operational complexity. Read More

Electric vehicles have accelerated the search for more efficient and affordable ways to power next-generation transport.

Electric roads are one of the most promising ideas to be worked on in recent times – highways equipped to charge vehicles dynamically as they move, using inductive or conductive systems embedded beneath the surface.

With trials underway in multiple countries, electric roads are now drawing global attention. But despite strong technical progress, widespread adoption remains challenging due to cost, infrastructure demands, and limited technological maturity..Electrical roads supply energy wirelessly or through conductive rails embedded in the pavement. Vehicles equipped with compatible receivers can draw this power while driving. This enables continuous charging and reduces the need for large onboard batteries.

France’s A10 motorway project demonstrates the viability of this approach. Operated by VINCI Autoroutes and utilizing Electreon’s technology, the system has achieved peak outputs exceeding 300 kW, with heavy trucks, buses, and passenger cars charging smoothly at full speed. Read More

The Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear has established a new lap record for homologated production cars at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca on November 4, 2025. Despite a strict 90 dB noise limit on the day — a challenge met by fitting an additional, heavy muffler behind the rear of the Sadair’s Spear — factory test driver Markus Lundh achieved a blistering lap time of 1:24.16, verified by Racelogic.

With minimal time on track, this achievement highlights the outstanding performance of the Sadair’s Spear and Koenigsegg’s proven in-house engineering solutions — even while contending with the added pendulum weight of the auxiliary muffler mounted behind the car.

Christian von Koenigsegg commented on the record:

“We knew that the Sadair’s Spear had the potential to beat the lap record. To achieve this feat with the added muffler behind the car shows the potential for even greater performance on a less noise-restricted day. That the everyday-usable and livable Sadair’s Spear — with Autoskin, electric seats, sound deadening, amplifiers, and more — can outperform stripped-out track cars is a true testament to the depth of engineering that goes into our creations. I am very proud of our results and achievements, made possible only through solid and passionate teamwork.” Read More
