Barcelona sets a fine example of a fresher take on EV charging, using energy from its metro network to provide a charge. Running on electricity from the metro system is a great example of a more modern approach to EV charging. The metropolitan charging service is fueled by energy recovered from metro brakes. In another part of Europe, Slovenia has become an electric vehicle manufacturer, now producing the Renault Twingo.
Meanwhile, Beijing is offering an extra 20,000 EV quotas in the 1st relaxation of car purchase policy since 2011.

Renault 5 E-Tech 100% electric brings a touch of Paris to London St. Pancras this summer
“Historic Anglo-Franco rivalries will be celebrated at St Pancras International this summer, as visitors passing through the station are given the chance to explore the hotly anticipated new Renault 5 E-Tech 100% electric in a culture-mixing display where England and France playfully collide.”
“From Monday July 22 to Sunday August 11, a small section of a Parisian cobbled street will be recreated on the main concourse of the famous London station. Parked at the curb will be the new Renault 5 E-Tech 100% electric, adorned with a Union Jack on its roof, next to a British telephone box that has been given a Renault-themed makeover.”

Beijing offers extra 20,000 EV quotas in 1st relaxation of car purchase policy since 2011
“In order to gradually solve the car demand of car-free families, the Municipal Transportation Commission, together with the Municipal Development and Reform Commission, the Public Security Bureau Traffic Management, the Ecological Environment and other departments, conducted research, and with the approval of the Municipal Government, 20,000 new energy passenger car quotas will be issued to eligible car-free families in 2024.”
“Prime Minister Robert Golob, accompanied by Minister of the Economy, Tourism and Sport Matjaž Han, along with representatives of Renault and Revoz, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the development and production of Renault Twingo E-Tech electric cars in Novo mesto.”

Red Funnel & Artemis Technologies (ATL) partner on zero-emissions high-speed vessel
“Red Funnel is delighted to announce a new and exciting partnership with leading maritime technology company, Artemis Technologies (ATL). The partnership will introduce a high-performance, emission-free vessel to its customers in late 2025. Red Funnel’s Southampton to West Cowes route, currently served by Red Jets 6 and 7, will be enhanced with the addition of a zero-emission, electric e-foiling passenger ferry (Artemis EF-24 Passenger).”

It is, in fact, a pioneering project in Europe, which represents a boost to energy efficiency and sustainability. This project is financed by NGEU funds.”
