Barcelona sets a fine example of a fresher take on EV charging, using energy from its metro network to provide a charge. Running on electricity from the metro system is a great example of a more modern approach to EV charging. The metropolitan charging service is fueled by energy recovered from metro brakes. In another part of Europe, Slovenia has become an electric vehicle manufacturer, now producing the Renault Twingo.

Meanwhile, Beijing is offering an extra 20,000 EV quotas in the 1st relaxation of car purchase policy since 2011.
