Global Lithium Resources has completed the 2023 drilling campaign at its wholly owned Manna lithium project in Western Australia.
Located about 100km east of Kalgoorlie in the Goldfields region, the Manna project’s 2023 drilling program was its second major drilling campaign and saw over 60,000m drilled.
The drilling program was completed by K-Drill and Profile Drilling, which safely conducted the reverse circulation drilling program at Manna in 2022, and DDH1 Drilling, which previously performed metallurgical diamond drilling core drilling at the project.
With the 2023 drilling program complete, Manna has seen over 100km of drilling.
“This is an exciting time for Global Lithium as we have now drilled over 60,000m at the Manna lithium project during 2023 and now await assays to feed into the MRE (mineral resource estimate) update,” Global Lithium general manager – geology Logan Barber said.
The drilling program specifically targeted expansion and infill drilling of the Manna MRE, which currently stands at 36 million tonnes at 1.13 per cent lithium oxide.
It targeted extensions along strike and down dip of the Manna lithium deposit, and geotechnical drilling has been completed to complement the project’s definitive feasibility study, which is expected to be completed in the second quarter of the 2024 calendar year (Q2 CY24).
“Our exploration team has worked incredibly hard throughout this program while maintaining a high level of safety,” Barber said.
“With drilling now complete, we will begin to update the market as results come to hand from this program, building on the initial results previously announced in October. Significant upside still exists at the Manna project with the system still open to the NE, and SW. Targeting and planning for further drilling in 2024 has already begun.”
The Manna lithium project’s MRE is expected to be published in Q1 CY24, once the 2023 program’s assay results have been received.
