CIMIC Group is set to grow its reputation in Western Australia with the awarding of several new and extended contracts.
The contracts are set to provide approximately $150 million in revenue for CIMIC subsidiary UGL across multiple years.
UGL managing director Doug Moss said the company is pleased with the contracts that should see UGL continue to boost its WA-based relationships.
“Through these contract awards and contract extensions UGL continues to provide a safe, reliable and quality outcome for these important projects,” Moss said.
One of the contracts is an 11-month extension for the supply of services to Alcoa’s WA mining and refining operations. Under the extension, UGL will continue to manage and execute the mechanical, electrical and access services for maintenance work.
UGL has also received a two-year and one-year contract expansion with bp and Woodside Energy, respectively. Working with bp, UGL will supply maintenance, tank turnaround and construction services to the Kwinana energy hub.
At Woodside’s project, UGL company IAS Group will provide ultra-high-pressure water cleaning, surface preparation and coating, cladding and insulation and technical services.
Finally, a new agreement inked with Chevron Australia will see UGL provide construction services to support the installation of modules, equipment, structure, piping, electrical and instrumentation works.
“We take pride in being a major employer in Western Australia, and in using our experience in maintenance, project and shutdown services to work with energy suppliers as they deliver resources across the country,” CIMIC group executive chairman Juan Santamaría said.
