Auric Mining is preparing to deliver its first gold revenue from the Munda project, with toll milling at Black Cat Syndicate’s Lakewood Mill scheduled to commence in late October.
The company confirmed that a 60,000-tonne parcel of ore will be processed from around October 24, with haulage to begin earlier in the month under a contract with TLL Haulage Solutions. JT Metallurgical Services has been engaged to oversee the campaign on Auric’s behalf.
Auric said the campaign is backed by a substantial ore stockpile, with 40,000 tonnes of high-grade material already sitting on the Munda run-of-mine as of September 19. The first cash proceeds from the campaign are expected in late November.
Auric signed its toll milling agreement with Black Cat in July, securing the ability to process up to 125,000 tonnes through Lakewood. Mining of the Munda starter pit began earlier this year and is expected to wrap up in October or November.
“Auric is delighted to confirm this toll milling campaign at Black Cat’s Lakewood Mill. With ore already stockpiled, haulage commencing in October, and milling scheduled for late October, we are on track to deliver our first gold revenue from the Munda starter pit in November,” Auric Mining managing director Mark English said.
“The toll milling agreement covers up to 125,000 tonnes. This represents a pivotal milestone for Auric as we begin to develop Munda. This agreement will be highly beneficial for both Auric and Black Cat. Importantly, it sets the stage for our future plans to develop the larger Munda Main Pit commencing in 2026.”
Auric anticipates one or two additional toll milling campaigns between January and March 2026. Once the starter pit campaign is completed, the company will move into planning and scoping for the Munda main pit, a larger development scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2026.
The project forms a cornerstone of Auric’s long-term growth ambitions, with the main pit offering the potential to lift production and progress the company’s goal of building into a sustainable mid-tier gold producer.
