London, (Oilandgaspress) ––Ferrari presents a unique version of the Roma Spider created by the Tailor Made department: the car will be on display at the Enzo Ferrari Museum in Modena as of today as part of the ‘Ferrari One of a Kind’ exhibition, dedicated to the exclusive world of personalisation for the Maranello-based manufacturer. The aim of this Roma Spider in particular is to highlight innovative component production techniques, enabled through the use of special, refined supplies. Standing out among these is work on the fabric in the central panel of the seats with manual stitching that adopts leather from the interior and applies thread obtained from recycled tyres.

On this car, Ferrari has launched work with lasers on aluminium body components for the shield on the front wing, as well as the option of personalising the bonnet design with a compass rose and the geographical coordinates of Maranello. Aluminium recycled during the production phase in the Ferrari foundry is also used to create some components of the twin-turbo V8 engine, reducing the volume of waste to a minimum.

Other noteworthy features include the use of chrome-free nappa leather and wood of controlled origin on the tonneau cover and rear floor, as well as components made from sand, on the centre console, recycling the sand removed from casts in the Maranello foundry.

Collaboration with Montblanc was also of considerable importance, with Ferrari’s partner creating a special edition of the celebrated Meisterstück for the occasion. This iconic writing instrument now sports the same Oro Mida colour specifically chosen by the Maranello Styling Centre to characterise the Ferrari Roma Spider Tailor Made. This unique item is also enhanced with a nib made of hand-worked Au750 solid gold and platinum-coated with a special compass motif, and cap and sections also coated in platinum. Read More

Aston Martin presents the DB12 Goldfinger Edition, crafted by the ultra-luxury marque’s bespoke personalisation service, Q by Aston Martin, in celebration of 60 years of the iconic association between Aston Martin and the James Bond film franchise.

What has become one of the most notable partnerships in cinematic history began with the release of Goldfinger in 1964, when the Aston Martin DB5 made its silver screen debut. The DB5 went on to become one of the world’s most recognisable cars and a crucial step in the brand’s illustrious ‘DB’ bloodline. Now, the latest evolution in that lineage is getting the 007 treatment.

To mark this historic milestone, just 60 DB12 Goldfinger Editions will be released worldwide, paying tribute to a relationship that has spanned over half of Aston Martin’s illustrious 111-year history.

Q by Aston Martin

Whilst the DB5 that featured in Goldfinger was equipped with all the gadgets needed to escape Bond’s adversaries, the DB12 Goldfinger Edition is focused on providing a more indulgent James Bond driving experience, incorporating subtle touches from the Goldfinger film.

Presented in the iconic Silver Birch paint colour synonymous with the DB5 in Goldfinger, the DB12 Goldfinger Edition establishes an immediate statement. Striking 21” multi-spoke wheels with a unique silver colour with a diamond treatment finish are complemented by black brake calipers, bespoke gold side strakes and a unique Aston Martin logo in silver with a black enamel. Crowned with a bright chrome ‘Q’ fender badge gives confirmation that this DB12 has received some truly special touches.

Inside this special edition, the leather Sports Plus seats are finished in the classic DB5 fluted style with an intricate Prince of Wales check perforation pattern, in a nod to a classic James Bond suit. This pattern extends to both the door inserts and the headliner, as well as being etched onto a unique treadplate. A polished sill plaque adorns the Goldfinger 60th anniversary logo.

Adding an elevated level of ultra-luxury to the interior of the car and awaiting the driver’s touch is 18k Gold Plated interior accents, decorating the drive mode rotary dial and the roller controls, as well as the notched gear selector which takes design inspiration from the golden tracking device used by Bond in the film. This theme is also continued through the trim inlays, as gold metal fibres are weaved into the 2X2 Twill Gloss Carbon Fibre.

A subtle nod for Bond aficionados is the ’eight of hearts’ embroidered onto the drivers’ sun visor, which references the playing card seen in last draw during the famous Miami pool scene in Goldfinger. Unique gifting for DB12 Goldfinger Edition owners

Each Aston Martin DB12 Goldfinger Edition is presented with an array of gifts that are as exclusive as the car itself. Owners will receive a custom car cover and luxury key presentation box, along with a Silver Birch Speedform model and for something truly unique, a section of the iconic Furka Pass scene in Goldfinger in 35mm film. A 1/60 golden limited edition Aston Martin magazine will also be gifted to the new owners of the DB12 Goldfinger Edition. This selection of bespoke gifts will be presented in a Globe-Trotter attaché case, which replicates the design of the car; a Silver Birch body and a Prince of Wales check interior.

The Aston Martin DB12 delivers a sublime blend of performance, ultra-luxury and style, pushing the renowned DB bloodline to new heights. Powered by a formidable 4.0-litre V8 Twin-Turbo engine, producing a best-in-class power output of 680PS/800Nm with an advanced suspension system, DB12 ensures a thrilling yet refined driving experience. DB12 was the first of Aston Martin’s next generation of sports cars to showcase the marques new infotainment system, designed and developed in-house using state-of-the-art technology.

Owners can also enjoy a magnum of 2007 vintage Champagne Bollinger, individually numbered, with four exclusive Bollinger 007 glasses, elegantly presented in a bespoke Globe-Trotter Air Cabin Case. Read More

Citroën had so many new models to unveil on a motor show stand. In just over a year, almost 80% of Citroën’s European range will be evolving in major market segments. The Citroën stand thus expresses all the dynamism of a Brand in full revival, based on models which offer affordable mobility solutions, characterful designs and a promise of unrivalled on-board comfort – each in their own specific territories. All the models on display at the press day will feature Citroën’s new styling identity. In an automotive world that is complicated for customers, Citroën offers a simplified experience: whether it be choosing a vehicle on the internet, offering efficient electrified powertrains adapted to individual needs, or maintaining the vehicle.

With a completely renewed and electrified range, as well as innovative solutions for all segments, Citroën is asserting its role as a pioneer in the automotive sector by combining comfort, accessibility and modernity. At the Paris Motor Show 2024, the brand is highlighting a clear vision of the future of mobility, adapted to the varied needs of users, while reinforcing its human and vibrant identity.

Visitors will be welcomed to a warm and colourful stand, identifiable from afar thanks to the ‘Ami Tower’ and animated by a giant screen of over 50m2 highlighting the Brand’s new products. Every day, the stand will live to the rhythm of the Citroën studio, where interviews and podcasts will be conducted with experts, opinion leaders and journalists.

New C3: a future best-seller mid-launch

The public will have the opportunity to discover the New C3, which is currently being launched in Europe and has already received more than 50,000 orders. The affordable new C3 is a game-changer, offering new access to mobility with modern, attractive styling, great versatility and all the equipment expected in this segment. This 4th generation of an emblematic Citroën model offers even more on-board comfort with the adoption of Citroën Advanced Comfort® suspension, which complements the redesigned Advanced Comfort seats and the C-Zen lounge concept on the dashboard. It retains the compactness and agility of the previous version, while offering greater practicality and easier on-board access. It is available as a petrol model, a hybrid offering versatility and ease of use, and an electric version with a range of over 320km (WLTP cycle).

New C4: World Premiere

Citroën is unveiling the new C4, changing the attitude of a major player in the compact saloon market. With this evolution, the New C4 becomes more serene and stylish than ever. It combines the dynamism of a coupé-like saloon with subtle SUV styling cues, gaining character and coherence from a new more mature and structured front end, which adopts the Brand’s new stylistic identity. Citroën is confirming its offensive on the SUV market with the World Premiere of the C5 Aircross Concept. It expresses a vision of what the Brand’s next SUV in the C segment could be. The C5 Aircross Concept confirms the dynamism of a brand in complete renewal, capable of offering a range calibrated to the expectations of each segment. It offers an intelligent response to the needs of customers looking for an accessible and characterful SUV, offering space on board, comfort and great practicality for families. This concept demonstrates Citroën’s strong ambition on this key territory for customers.

Designed on the Stellantis Group’s STLA Medium platform, the C5 Aircross Concept is a multi-energy vehicle. It expresses a powerful attitude, full of strength and character. It is a dense, muscular and organic block, sculpted for aerodynamics. Indeed, in an SUV territory where the silhouette is disadvantaged by nature, the designers have used multiple tricks to reduce its impact. Its volumes are full and generous, its surfaces fluid. Its height is contained and the rear overhang is extended. At the front, the nose of the bonnet is lowered, while at the rear the roof recedes while the tailgate is very vertical. The cabin is curved, the quarter windows are fitted with aero appendages, and the Citroën Light Wing tail lights are cut and flush to guide the airflow. The design does away with the superfluous in favour of the essential, while emphasising the new brand identity and a modern feel. With a length of 4.65m, it boasts unprecedented proportions and offers plenty of space on board. The C5 Aircross Concept promises a serene, connected driving experience to accompany families in their multi-faceted lives.

The C5 Aircross Concept breaks away from the soft, round world to adopt the design of a solid, serious SUV. It validates the Brand’s new formal language, and boasts a confident presence underpinned by unprecedented proportions. Its morphology combines a contained height of 1.66 m and a length of 4.65 m (+15cm compared with the current C5 Aircross), with lines and shoulders that translate into a design that is both slender and full of energy. It’s a powerful and attractive balance, supported by a modern and muscular appearance that sets it apart from the rest of the market.. Read More

Citroën’s Ami celebrates its 4th birthday this year. The Ami was a surprise at its launch in 2020, provoking astonishment and curiosity. It has become a genuine social phenomenon, attracting more than 65,000 customers and shaking up the urban and – above all – suburban automotive landscapes. The Ami has reinvented the world of quadricycles by making a flexible electric mobility solution accessible – in the form of a quirky object with innovative architecture, where symmetry plays an essential role in the design. The Ami has changed the lives of many households by bringing freedom, independence and ease to everyday life, thanks to its many qualities: affordable and innovative, usable in some countries from the age of 14, no driving licence required, safe, protected from the elements, able to accommodate 2 people, easy to handle and capable of speeds of up to 45 km/h, with a range of 75 km largely compatible with micro-mobility needs, and rechargeable from a standard socket.

Ami is celebrating at the Paris Motor Show with two world premieres: the first is a preview of the next generation Ami, which will go on sale in 2025. The expression of its front end has changed, while retaining its sleek yet mischievous style. It gives a nod to its illustrious predecessor the 2 CV, by adopting similar striations on its wings to mark out the bodywork. This new version validates the new Night Sépia livery that appeared last April. On the basis of this version, the designers had fun imagining a new edition of the model’s adventurous variant in the shape of the Ami Buggy Vision concept, a fluid take on a model that is characterful, fun and dedicated to nautical leisure activities. Joyful, festive and inspiring, the Ami doesn’t stop there: it is also on display in a tower that brings together various emblematic versions (Ami Peps, Ami for All, Ami Rose Festival). A beacon visible from afar, it’s a real invitation to come and celebrate on the Citroën stand. Read Press Release

Citroën is presenting the world premiere of the C4 and C4 X at the Paris Motor Show, a completely renewed range of sedans in the C-segment. At the same time, the brand is continuing its exceptional momentum. In the space of a year, Citroën has revised its commercial vehicle range, further developed the Berlingo and the SpaceTourer and changed the face of the B-segment with the new C3 and the new C3 Aircross. The brand is now preparing to launch two important models in the C-segment.

Launched at the end of 2020, the C4 ranked second in Europe among C-segment compact sedans (all powertrains combined) in the first half of 2024, just behind the Golf. Accessible and versatile, allowing customers to find the offer that best suits their needs, it ranks third in the ICE market. A pioneer in the C-segment electric vehicle market, it remains in the top 5 today, offering a well-balanced offer that is both affordable and efficient. Launched in 2023, the C4 X has made a very good start in the Middle East and especially in Turkey. Its development will accelerate its launch and represents more than ever an opportunity in Europe.

The C4 and C4 X have gained in maturity and character, while building on their strengths such as comfort and space on board. The models retain their own identity in their segment, supported by a design that combines several automotive concepts, while their silhouette has become more fluid and balanced. In this way, the brand meets the expectations of customers looking for greater simplicity, modernity and strength, with a model that offers better roadholding. The front end of both vehicles has been redesigned and the new logo and brand identity have been integrated. The C4 has also seen an evolution in the rear to give it greater clarity and contours, while the C4 X retains its attractive fastback design. Read More

A forerunner in the C-segment electric car market, it is still in the Top 5 today, with a well-calibrated offer that is both affordable and efficient. Lamborghini claimed an historic first-ever WeatherTech IMSA SportsCar Championship GT Daytona Pro victory as factory drivers Mirko Bortolotti, Jordan Pepper and Franck Perera won the season-ending Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta.

The crew of the #19 Iron Lynx Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 led for large portions of the 10-hour race, picking up maximum Michelin Endurance Cup points at the four-hour and eight-hour markers before moving back into the lead of the race at the final round of pit-stops.

It is the first victory in IMSA’s GTD Pro category, the first in GT3 for Lamborghini and Iron Lynx and marks the second year in a row that Lamborghini has prevailed in the Petit Le Mans following Forte Racing’s triumph last year. The former, with Devlin DeFrancesco, Loris Spinelli and Misha Goikhberg at the wheel, just missed out on back-to-back wins following a late full course caution.

The #45 Wayne Taylor Racing with Andretti trio of Graham Doyle, Kyle Marcelli and Danny Formal finished an encouraging fifth in GTD, while the #83 Iron Dames of Sarah Bovy, Rahel Frey and Michelle Gatting salvaged 13th after a difficult race. Read full article

Audi is further expanding its electric model portfolio with the debut of Q6 Sportback e-tron models, offering a more progressive and dynamic silhouette and greater emphasis on design-oriented aesthetics. The Q6 Sportback e-tron quattro and SQ6 Sportback e-tron benefit from the strength of the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture in terms of performance, range, efficiency, and charging, and are yet another example of the scalability of the all-new platform.

Audi unveiled the Q6 Sportback e-tron quattro to the global public for the first time at the Paris Motor Show 2024. “The new model demonstrates the versatility of our new generation of electric vehicles,” said Gernot Döllner, CEO of AUDI AG. “The Sportback variant is the next step in the expansion of our electric portfolio. The Audi Q6 Sportback e-tron quattro combines the strengths of our new electric models – efficiency, range, and performance – with the evocative, functional design of its distinct body.”

The sleek Sportback silhouette combines the spaciousness of an SUV with the elegance of a coupé. Sporty and expressive, the long wheelbase of 114.1” makes for ample room in the interior, even in the rear seats. The high towing capacity of up to 4,400 lb stands for uncompromising suitability for everyday use.

Thanks to its aerodynamic body design and a large battery with a gross capacity of 100 kWh (net: 94.4 kWh), the 187.9” long, 76.3” wide, and 65.2” high Q6 Sportback e-tron quattro is expected to achieve an EPA estimated range similar to that of the Q6 e-tron quattro, at around 300 miles. Actual EPA-estimated range will be released closer to the vehicle’s on-sale date.

Evocative exterior design accentuates sporty character
The Q6 Sportback’s sloping roofline enhances its dynamic design, with the vehicle’s silhouette flowing gracefully, resembling a streamlined drop of water. The design team reimagined the entire roof arch, starting from the A-pillar, resulting in a Sportback roofline 1.4-in (37mm) lower than the SUV variant. This adjustment infuses the classic proportions of an SUV with dynamism and elegance unique to the Sportback form. As a result, the Q6 Sportback e-tron exudes an unmistakable sportiness even when standing still. Please see the attached presentation.
