CAMDEN N.J.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–American Water (NYSE: AWK), the largest regulated water and wastewater utility company in the U.S., announced today that it was recently recognized by the Executive Women of New Jersey (EWNJ) with the 2023 Corporate Board Gender Diversity Award, for exceeding gender parity on its Board of Directors.
EWNJ is dedicated to increasing female representation in N.J. corporate boardrooms and leadership positions. In 2023, American Water was one of four companies to have reached or exceeded gender parity on its board and was honored during EWNJ’s biennial corporate gender diversity awards and power networking breakfast in Florham Park, N.J. on October 26. Attending the event and accepting the award for American Water was Marty Falkenberg, Senior Vice President and Deputy Chief Human Resources Officer.
