AIMEX locks in charity partnership

Asia-Pacific’s International Mining Exhibition (AIMEX) has named the Royal Flying Doctor Service SA/NT (RFDS) as the official charity partner for its inaugural Adelaide event this year.

The RFDS SA/NT assists more than 50,000 patients in South Australia and the Northern Territory annually, operating from four aeromedical bases and three remote primary healthcare facilities across the central corridor of the country.

Alongside the emergency aeromedical services it’s known for, the RFDS delivers primary health, mental health, oral health, road ambulance and other allied services to Australians who live and work far beyond city limits.

Prime Creative Media marketing manager of mining events Rebecca Todesco said the team was thrilled to partner with the RFDS for the history-making event.

“The team at the RFDS SA/NT does incredible work and to be able to throw our weight behind them and support them in any way we can is an honour,” Todesco said.

Todesco said the RFDS is an Australian institution and a trusted lifeline for those living, working and traveling in rural and remote Australia.

“Partnering with the RFDS is especially relevant for AIMEX, with the for-purpose organisation servicing the remote areas where several mine sites operate,” Todesco said.

“In selecting RFDS as AIMEX’s charity partner, we are proud to be supporting those who support our industry.”

RFDS SA/NT executive general manager – strategy, brand and reputation Charlie Paterson said the RFDS was delighted to have a presence at Australia’s longest-running mining show in 2025.

“The RFDS provides life-saving and life-enhancing care to thousands of Australians every year – in the air, on the ground and increasingly through innovative digital channels that support 24/7 access to health services,” Paterson said.

“We are proud of the role we serve in supporting healthier and happier Australians who live, work and play in rural and remote areas.”

RDFS SA/NT will join an extensive collection of exhibitors who have secured their place at AIMEX 2025, including XCMG/BROOKS, ifm, Motion, Flexco, TriCab, Milwaukee Tool, Netzsch Australia, Vayeron and MaxMine.
