It’s time to get your Earth Month celebration hats on, as April comes right up, and what better way to do it than to win a frikkin’ Rivian!

A Rivian R1S or R1T (winner choice) is being raffled off by the Illinois Solar Education Association (ISEA), a 501(c)3 nonprofit whose mission is promoting renewable energy through education and advocacy. It is only selling 2500 tickets, and you can get one for $100, or 4 for $300, right here at this link. The winning ticket will be drawn on May 3rd, but the raffle closes at the end of April, so get your tickets soon, as this usually sells out well before the deadline.

ISEA has been raffling EVs for a decade now, and all proceeds from this raffle will directly benefit ISEA’s mission of solar education and advocacy, so even if you don’t win, you still win.

Why did they choose the Rivian? Well, let me count the ways. One, the most amazing vehicle I’ve ever driven. It may be the most engineered vehicle on the planet (the same planet it is helping save). I couldn’t believe the capabilities for shifting modes on the fly, let alone the insane acceleration for a full size pickup. Two, the R1T has a towing capacity of 11,000 pounds, 62 cubic feet of storage (more on that in a second), and was the winner of the 2022 Motor Trend Truck of the Year, and JD Power’s most satisfying ownership experience among Premium BEVs in 2023. The R1S has the same acceleration, but more storage (104 cubic feet) and still can tow 7700 pounds. It was the US News and World Report #1 ranked Luxury Electric SUV last year and got a Top Safety Pick award from IIHS. And maybe most importantly, since it is mission-aligned with ISEA, Rivian was chosen because its mission is to design and produce electric vehicles as sustainably as possible.

Trust me, these vehicles are nothing short of amazing.

Side note, I also fit in the under-seat cargo hold relatively comfortably:
