Komatsu has introduced the new WX11 load haul dump (LHD) machine to its underground hard rock lineup, capable of boosting payloads by up to 10 per cent.
The 11-tonne machine will be available to the global market, aiming to offer best-in-class breakout force to boost site productivity and lower ownership costs.
“The WX11 is a game changer for hard rock miners,” Komatsu director of LHD and truck products Ryan Karns said.
“Developed through a close partnership between our experienced team and our long-time customers, this product reflects a shared commitment to design excellence.
“The WX11 is the LHD every miner will want to have in their operation.”
The WX11 uses the latest data management and is compatible with EU Stage V emission requirements.
As a new model within the Komatsu hard rock family of products, the WX11 is designed for all underground mine operators and contractors.
The WX11 comes with adjustable ride control and onboard telemetry, as well as 280 horsepower at 2000rpm.
The WX11 hosts a range of new features including:
- new heavy-duty hard rock Komatsu axles with Spring applied hydraulically released brakes
- Komatsu cylinders and accumulators
- swing-out radiator fan assemblies to support quick washdowns
- optimised kinematics for superior breakout and tilt force.
