Don’t you love raffles? The Illinois Solar Education Association (ISEA) does, too, and this year you have a chance to win either a Rivian R1S or Rivian R1T electric vehicle (EV). It’s so exciting!

Thanks to the ISEA and its annual raffle, the dream of driving your own Rivian EV could become a reality. The cost to enter the raffle is $100 per ticket, or 4 for $300. With only 2500 sold, your chance to win is much higher than with other raffles.

ISEA holds this annual raffle to support its mission of educating the public about solar energy. The hugely popular ISEA raffle has been an annual event for 10 years.

Last year’s ISEA raffle winner felt doubly grateful. He had recently installed solar on his home, and, by winning the ISEA EV raffle, he had a further opportunity to go green. Now he can maximize the environmental benefits of both solar and electric transportation by using clean energy directly from the sun with dedicated solar energy charging to power his winning EV.

Doesn’t it make you want to enter this year’s ISEA Rivian raffle?

Rivian makes vehicles that are made for the planet. This US-based company combines an adventurous spirit with a focus on building for the future. Their mission to design and produce EVs as sustainably as possible dovetails with ISEA’s mission to educate and advocate for solar energy.

EVs, as well as solar energy, are crucial elements of the path toward a more sustainable world.

The Rivian R1T Truck seats 5 and offers up to 400 miles of range. With 0-60 mph acceleration in as little as 3 seconds, it was awarded the 2022 Motor Trend Truck of the Year and the 2023 JD Power Award for most satisfying ownership experience among Premium Battery Electric Vehicles. The Rivian R1T Truckcan tow up to 11,000 lbs., has 62 cu. ft. of storage, and is capable of on-road and off-road travel.

The 2023 Top Safety Pick+ award from IIHS, the Rivian R1S SUV boasts nearly 390 miles of range and seats 7. It also can move from 0-60 mph as quickly as 3 seconds and can tow up to 7,700 lbs. With 104 cu. ft. of storage and capability of on-road and off-road use, it was ranked #1 for Luxury Electric SUV from the 2023 US News & World Report.

All Rivian raffle proceeds directly benefit ISEA’s mission of solar education and advocacy. These are especially important with the passage of the Climate and Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA), which will accelerate Illinois’ transition to clean energy, as well as the federal Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), which is the largest US climate bill ever. Both will accelerate Illinois’ transition to clean energy and touch the lives of many people.

Your participation in the Rivian raffle means that more people can learn how solar energy works and how it is converted into electricity. This knowledge can help them to make informed decisions as they join the transition to a zero-emissions future.  By buying a raffle ticket, you will be supporting solar education and helping to share the passion, knowledge, and experience of owning, maintaining, and living with renewable energy.

Through your generosity, everyone will be a winner!

Final Thoughts about the Rivian Raffle from ISEA 2024

The Illinois Solar Education Association (ISEA) is holding an annual raffle to support its mission to educate the public about solar energy. One lucky winner of ISEA’s Rivian Raffle will get the chance to choose either a R1T or a R1S.

Check out all the details on the ISEA 2023/2024 Rivian Raffle website.

The raffle closes on May 1, 2024, and the winner will be drawn on May 3, 2024. As you join the ISEA annual raffle, think of the thrill you’ll experience as the May drawing gets near!

Buying a ticket to the ISEA Rivian raffle shows that you believe in a clear path to a carbon-free future, and it starts with a more diversified energy sector.

There is no limit on the number of tickets that can be purchased. You do not need to be present at the drawing to win. If fewer than 2,300 tickets are sold, then the drawing converts to a 50/50 drawing. Tickets are only valid if sold in the continental US.

The Illinois Solar Education Association is the Illinois chapter of the American Solar Energy Society. ISEA is the local state resource for renewable energy-related policy developments, educational classes, events, news, and access to local renewable energy businesses.
