Scottie cuts 36.3 g/t gold over 5 metres at new D zone

Scottie Resources (TSXV: SCOT) has received a new high-grade assay from the D zone target. Drillhole SR23-286 intersected the D zone vein, returning 36.3 g/r gold over 5 metres, including 91.5 g/t over 1.1 metre. The intersection is about 85 metres from existing underground workings.

Hole SR23-304 intersected the D zone vein over 3 metres grading 5.90 g/t gold.

“These results from D zone support our exploration concept of a major structurally controlled mineralizing corridor that is transitional from the Blueberry contact zone southwest towards the historic Scottie gold mine,” said president and CEO Brad Rourke. “The discovery and expansion of the high-grade D zone is particularly interesting given its location relative to an existing underground tunnel used by the Scottie gold mine for access purposes.”

The D zone was first discovered last year. It is located 1.7 km northeast of the 100%-owned past-producing Scottie gold mine, 35 km north of Stewart, B.C. The D zone is also 200 metres east of the Blueberry contact, which last year returned a high assay of 28.2 g/t gold over 4 metres within a 7.5-metre section that assayed 8.78 g/t gold.

A gold-rich surface expression of the D zone has been known for many years, said the company, but it wasn’t until 2022 that gold mineralization was drilled at depth. Drilling over the past two years supports the idea that the D zone is oriented consistently with the array of veins present along the Blueberry contact.

The D zone and its sister C zone are located about halfway between the Blueberry vein and the historic Scottie mine. Outcrops of both zones overlie an access tunnel which connects the A portal to the mine.

Details about the D, C, and Blueberry zones is posted on www.ScottieResources.com.
