Alan has 30 years experience as a finance executive with an extensive history in the energy industry. Alan is skilled in negotiation, minerals, and contract management. He also specializes in strategic management, budgeting, business risks, growth, and planning all with capable execution in mind. He adds Executive Vice President to his continuing roles as the Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary of GLJ, overseeing the finance, accounting, business support, financial planning, financial analysis, and treasury functions. Alan is both a Chartered Professional Accountant and a Certified Financial Planner and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary.
Suzy Chen, P. Eng.
Vice President, Integrated Studies
Suzy Chen is the Vice President of GLJ’s Integrated Studies team. With over twenty-eight years of experience in the energy industry, Suzy has worked with all types of oil and gas assets, with the focus on long-range field development planning, reservoir performance evaluations & optimization, implementation of new technologies, as well as integrated modeling & simulation. Suzy has worked on numerous waterflood & EOR projects for both conventional and unconventional reservoirs throughout her career with recent focus on energy transition and CCUS projects by providing comprehensive services and support in strategic planning, subsurface techno-economic evaluations, MMV and risk assessment.
