VinFast is expanding its presence in Indonesia with new vehicle launches and the upcoming start of operations at its Subang assembly plant. The Vietnamese automaker received two awards at the Road to CNBC Indonesia Awards 2025 and unveiled two models at the GAIKINDO Jakarta AutoShow 2025.
At the auto show running from November 21 to 30, VinFast previewed the seven-seat Limo Green ahead of its March 2026 launch in Indonesia. The vehicle has already proven popular in Vietnam, where it sold 6,500 units within three months of its launch there.
The Limo Green is a versatile seven-seater that measures 4,730 mm in length with a 2,840 mm wheelbase, providing spacious interior room for passengers. It uses LFP (lithium iron phosphate) battery technology and offers a 470 km driving range on a full charge. The combination of seating capacity, range, and LFP battery technology makes it suitable for both family use and commercial transportation services. VinFast expects the Limo Green to be a significant growth driver in the Indonesian market given its practicality and its strong early sales performance in Vietnam.

VinFast also displayed the VF Wild concept, a midsize pickup that was first unveiled at CES 2024 in Las Vegas in January 2024. The concept was jointly developed by VinFast and Australian design studio GoMotiv over 8,000 hours. Measuring 209 inches (5,324 mm) in length and 79 inches (1,997 mm) in width, the VF Wild features a power-operated midgate that extends the bed automatically through a folding rear window. The company plans to use feedback from the Indonesian showcase to refine the vehicle’s design and pricing before production.
“Our mission at VinFast transcends the mere introduction of electric vehicles. It is about establishing a genuine, reciprocal dialogue with the market,” said Kariyanto Hardjosoemarto, CEO of VinFast Indonesia. “Every piece of feedback on design, strategic positioning, and pricing is exceptionally valuable.”
The company won “Pioneering Brand in Green Transition and Sustainability” and “Compact SUV of the Year” for the VF 7 at the Road to CNBC Indonesia Awards 2025. The awards recognized VinFast’s approach to green mobility, including battery subscriptions, and the VF 7’s design and technology.
VinFast has received multiple other awards recently, including “Outstanding Innovation in Sustainable Electric Mobility” and “Remarkable Contribution to Energy Independence” at the CNN Indonesia Awards 2025, four recognitions at the Surabaya International Auto Show 2025, and the “Most Impressive EV Newcomer” award from Carvaganza for the VF 3. TIME magazine listed VinFast among its “Best Companies in Asia Pacific 2025.”
Beyond vehicle launches, VinFast is preparing to start operations at its assembly plant in Subang. The company is expanding its dealership network and has partnered with Green SM and V-Green for charging infrastructure. It also offers financing packages and guaranteed resale value programs.
VinFast’s current lineup in Indonesia includes the VF 3 and VF 7, with the Limo Green and VF Wild in development.
