WASHINGTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Decisive Point, a venture capital firm focused on technologies that strengthen national security and industrial resilience, announced today that Matthew Williams, retired U.S. Army Special Forces Command Sergeant Major and recipient of the Medal of Honor, has joined the firm as a Partner. Williams will lead Decisive Point’s investment strategy across Defense and National Security, with a focus on innovation for critical technologies, combat capabilities, and federal acquisition support.
Williams spent over two decades in uniform, serving in multiple combat deployments with U.S. Army Special Forces. He was awarded the Medal of Honor in 2019 for his actions during a 2008 mission in Afghanistan’s Nuristan Province, where he led the evacuation of wounded soldiers under fire during one of the most intense firefights of the war.
