Foton Motor Philippines, Inc. hosted an “EV Forward” event at its Clark assembly plant, showcasing its comprehensive lineup of electric vehicles.
The event was held in collaboration with the Clark Development Corporation (CDC), reaffirming its strong support for the initiative. CDC President and CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera emphasized the crucial role of “clean energy and mobility in economic development.”
In a show of commitment, Atty. Devanadera also announced ongoing plans to expand the network of EV charging stations within the ecozone to facilitate the transition to electric vehicles further. This collaboration highlights a joint effort between the private sector and a key government agency to promote sustainable mobility and establish Clark as a model for efficient and environmentally conscious transport systems.
A Comprehensive Lineup For The Future
“We’re strengthening our 18th year in the market by showcasing a full lineup of 100 percent electric solutions for logistics and transport,” Foton Motor Philippines, Inc. (FMPI) Sales Deputy Director Joshua Sytin said. He further stated that the vehicles offer “the trademark Foton reliability you expect, along with efficient performance and comprehensive after-sales support for all your service and spare parts needs.”
Foton’s full range of electric solutions for logistics and transport include:
- Thunder EV: This is an all-electric pickup truck. It has been a significant part of Foton’s EV push, and its presence at the show reinforces its role as an electric workhorse for various businesses.
- Harabas EV: An all-electric version of the Foton Wonder mini truck, the Harabas EV is a key model for last-mile logistics and is designed to be a versatile solution for urban transport.
- Transvan EV: This electric van is geared towards providing a clean and efficient option for passenger and cargo transport.
- Tornado EV: Foton’s light-duty electric truck has been at the forefront of the company’s EV strategy in the Philippines, with early versions being introduced to the market prior to the EV Forward event. The show served as a platform to highlight its continued importance and availability.
- Traveller Sierra EV: An all-electric passenger van in the Philippines with a 12-seater capacity. It offers a range of 303 km on a single charge, powered by a 77.28 kWh battery, and produces 181 horsepower and 330 Nm of torque.
- Aumark EV Truck: An all-electric, two-motor medium-duty truck designed for urban logistics and short-haul transportation.
- EST Tractor Head EV: The most powerful of the lineup, the EST 6×4 Tractor Head EV is Foton’s fully electric option for heavy hauling.

The show was attended by various key figures from both the government and private sectors, including CDC Vice President Atty. Noelle Mina Meneses, FMPI General Manager Levy Santos, Department of Energy’s Andy Ulgado, and Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines President Rommel Juan, among others. Their presence underscored the collaborative effort to advance electric vehicle technology and infrastructure in the country. This event serves as a significant milestone in Foton’s push to electrify the commercial vehicle segment, demonstrating its forward-thinking approach and positioning itself as a leader in the nation’s green transportation revolution.
