Moss Announces Leadership Transition: Steve Hope Named Chief Financial Officer

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#BuiltByMoss–Moss, a top-ranked national construction firm, announced today that Steve Hope has been appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective January 2025. This carefully planned transition reflects Moss’ commitment to thoughtful succession planning, ensuring a strong foundation for the company’s future growth and success.

Hope joined Moss in August 2024 as Executive Vice President of Finance, bringing more than two decades of financial leadership experience from global organizations, including Keller Group and Nissan. Since joining Moss, Hope has embraced the company’s core values and culture, while demonstrating expertise in modernizing financial systems, driving operational efficiency and delivering sustainable profitability. As CFO, he will oversee Accounting, Finance, Fleet and Asset Management functions, reporting directly to CEO Scott Moss.

“Steve’s forward-thinking leadership and strong alignment with Moss’ values make him the ideal person to lead our financial organization,” said Scott Moss. “This transition is a testament to the depth of talent within Moss and our ability to align leadership with our strategic vision for the future.”

Hope succeeds Dan Wobby, a transformative leader whose contributions as CFO since 2021 and as Chief Strategy Officer before that have left an indelible mark on Moss’ success. Over his nine years with the company, Wobby has been instrumental in shaping Moss’ growth, culture and strategic vision. His efforts in driving operational transparency have strengthened Moss and fostered a culture of excellence, collaboration and long-term thinking.

Wobby will transition to the role of Strategic Business Advisor and remain a member of the Vision Leadership Team (VLT) until his planned retirement in January 2026. During this time, he will work closely with Steve to ensure a seamless transfer of responsibilities.

“Dan’s leadership has been truly exceptional. He has been a generous and caring advisor for Moss team members as well as in the community,” added Scott Moss. “He has shaped our financial strategies and been a cornerstone of our culture and values. His heart and ability to connect our vision with strategy have positioned Moss for lasting success.”

This leadership transition reinforces Moss’ position as a great place to work, driven by a culture that prioritizes people, values and opportunities for growth. By combining thoughtful planning with a commitment to its vision, Moss ensures its legacy of excellence will continue to thrive for generations to come.
